Here are a few ideas for things to do while staying at the cottage. Some ideas are seasonal, while others are year 'round.
Restaraunts.
Robinson's Wharf/ Tugs Pub.
Bet's Seafood.
- It's that little shack with "free beer tomorrow" painted on it that you passed on the way in. Their 1/2 fish sandwich isn't half a sandwich, it's half a fish so make sure you share! Good price, big eats.
93 Townsend.
The Ebb Tide.
- A traditional Maine diner located in downtown Boothbay Harbor next to the whale watch pier, the Ebb Tide makes a mean breakfast and lunch. Good for the "morning after." Look for the red and white awning.
King Eider's Pub.
- Located in Damariscotta, King Eider's is a wonderful little pub with great food, a good beer selection and friendly service.
Damariscotta Grille.
- Also in Damariscotta, the Grille is the upscale restaurant with a great wine and food selection. Can't go wrong here.
Cellar Door Vineyards. No kidding- actual grape wine in Maine. This is a wonderful scenic vineyard located outside of scenic Camden with a tasting room and wine shop. Visit www.mainewine.com for more information.
Activities.
Sea Kayaking- either off the dock or with an organized tour.
Hiking on Boothbay Regional Land Trust Trail network. visit
www.bbrlt.org for information, trail maps, etc.
Windjammer Days. Usually in June- check the chamber of commerce site on the links page.
Charter fishing and sailing.
Skiing. Nearby mountains include Sunday River, Sugarloaf USA, Saddleback, and others. Most are within a 2.5 hour drive from the cottage. Local skiing in Camden is also availabe (conditions permitting).
Relaxing. No explanation necessary.
